All 6 pre-workouts, each matched to one need, are in the summary table below.
There is no single best pre-workout for everyone, so this guide does not rank them. Below is every pre-workout we sell, 6 products in all, and each one is the best choice for one clear need: a trusted brand, the lowest price, a small scoop, lower caffeine and more. Find your need, then buy that tub.
Every product is genuine and comes from a well-known brand. Peak X is an authorized distributor, and we do not stock cheap, low-quality or unverified pre-workouts. Prices update automatically, and the facts in each box come from the product label or the product page.
How We Choose a Pre-Workout
How this guide works: the picks are in no particular order. We do not give them a rank, because the right tub depends on what you need. Each pick carries a “Best for” label, and a product is only called best for the one thing that label says.
A pre-workout is a stimulant product, so the label matters more here than for most supplements. For every product we look at three facts and show them in each box:
To compare tubs fairly, look at the price per serving, not the price of the tub. A cheap tub with a big scoop can cost more per serving than a dearer tub with a small scoop, and the scoop size also decides how much powder you drink each time.
Where a brand groups its ingredients in a blend, as BPI and BSN do, the label does not show the caffeine on its own. We say so in the box rather than guess a number. Always read the full label on your own tub, because makers can change a recipe.
What Is in a Pre-Workout
The ingredients differ from one tub to the next. These are the ones you will see most often on the labels in this guide:
- Caffeine: the stimulant in most pre-workouts. Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center, citing the U.S. FDA, says up to 400 mg of caffeine a day appears to be safe for most healthy adults, about four or five cups of coffee (source). Count the coffee, tea and energy drinks you have as well as your scoop.
- Beta-alanine: an amino acid that can cause a tingling feeling on the skin. The International Society of Sports Nutrition position stand says “The only reported side effect is paraesthesia (tingling)” (ISSN position stand abstract).
- Creatine: some pre-workouts add it. If you already take a separate creatine, add the two up. See our Best Creatine in Nepal guide.
- L-citrulline and L-arginine: amino acids that brands add to their “pump” formulas.
- Blends: some labels group ingredients under one name and show only the total. You cannot see how much of each ingredient is inside.
This is general information, not medical advice. Read the warnings on the tub before every purchase. Typical pre-workout warnings say the product is not for anyone under 18 or for pregnant or breastfeeding women, and that you should talk to a doctor first if you have a heart, blood pressure or thyroid condition. Read the warnings on your own tub.

N.O.-XPLODE is a long-running name in pre-workouts and has the biggest scoop of the six: 18.5 g per serving, 30 servings in the 555 g tub. It is the highest-priced tub on this page, so it suits someone who already knows they like the BSN formula.

Questions and Answers
What is the best pre-workout in Nepal?
There is no single best pre-workout for everyone, so this guide matches each product to a need. Optimum Nutrition Gold Standard is our pick for the most trusted brand, Scitron Volcano for the lowest price per serving, BiotechUSA Black Blood NOX+ for a sugar-free formula with 150 mg of caffeine, and BPI Sports 1.M.R Vortex for a small scoop.
How do I compare pre-workout prices?
Divide the price of the tub by the number of servings to get the price per serving, then compare the caffeine and the ingredient list on the label. The table above does the first step for every tub.
How much caffeine is in a pre-workout?
It depends on the tub. Optimum Nutrition lists 175 mg per serving, MuscleBlaze WrathX 200 mg and BiotechUSA Black Blood NOX+ 150 mg. BPI and BSN list caffeine inside a blend, so the label does not show it on its own.
Is the cheapest pre-workout the best value?
Not always. Check the servings per tub, the scoop size and what the label lists. The price per serving in each box makes this easy to compare.
When should I take a pre-workout?
The product pages for the tubs in this guide say to mix one scoop with cold water and drink it before training, about 15 to 30 minutes before. New users should start with a smaller serving, and avoid taking it close to bedtime. Always follow the directions on your own tub.
Why does pre-workout make my skin tingle?
Pre-workouts with beta-alanine can cause a tingling feeling on the skin. It is the only side effect reported in the sports nutrition position stand on beta-alanine. Check the label to see whether your tub contains it.
Is pre-workout in Nepal genuine?
Peak X is an authorized distributor for the brands we sell, and we only stock genuine products. Whichever shop you buy from, check the seal, batch number and expiry date when the tub arrives. See our guide to genuine vs fake supplements in Nepal.
What if a pre-workout is out of stock?
Tubs that are out of stock stay on the list, and their button says Ask on WhatsApp. Message us and we will tell you when it is back, or suggest the closest alternative. Single flavours can sell out while the others stay in stock.
Do you deliver pre-workout across Nepal?
Yes. Peak X delivers across Nepal, and you can order on our website or WhatsApp.
This information is general and not medical advice. Pre-workouts are not suitable for everyone. If you have a medical condition, are pregnant or take medication, speak to your doctor before using supplements.
